The short answer is, you will get results very quickly, but you won’t fix 30 years of tight muscles and joints due to sitting too much and not moving enough in 30 days. Consistency performing effective techniques is the key to achieving lasting mobility results.
There are many factors that come into play when it comes to how fast you will see results and/or achieve your goals.
The first variable is, are you using an effective mobility program? If you are using Movement Vault, then this is a strong Yes.
The second variable is, are you staying consistent with Movement Vault? The more consistent you are, the better your results will be. You will make much faster progress using Movement Vault 4-7 times per week vs 1-3 times per week. With that said, if you only have time to perform Movement Vault 2 times per week, this will be far better than not performing Movement Vault at all.
The third variable is your mobility level coming in. If you have extremely tight muscles and joints and got a very low Movement Vault Virtual Mobility Assessment score, it is going to take you longer to achieve amazing flexibility and mobility vs. someone that starts Movement Vault with better foundational mobility.
The fourth variable is your age. Age matters. If you have been sitting, not moving enough throughout your day, and have been dealing with tight muscles and joints for 60 years, it will typically take you longer to achieve amazing mobility vs someone that is younger. The reason for this is the fact that your body conforms to the positions you spend the most time in. The longer you spend time in a specific position the more engrained it becomes.
When you sit everyday for 8-12 hours with your head and neck sticking out forward, your shoulders rounded forward, your upper and lower back rounded, and your hip flexors and hamstrings in a shortened position for 60 years, your body has spent more time in this position than the same person that has been in this position for 10 years.
Your connective tissue structure also tends to get a little less compliant as you age. Connective tissue is your muscles, tendons, fascia, and ligaments.
So will you still achieve amazing mobility and movement if you are 70 years old vs 30 years old? Absolutely!
We have heard from users in their 90’s that have been consistent with Movement Vault and have made life changing progress. Dr. Grayson Wickham has personally worked with a lot of people in their 80’s, 90’s and even a few centurions in their 100’s.
The last variable is how much you move in your average day. If you spend 80-90% of your day sitting in a chair or lying down, like the majority of people do, it will take you a little longer to achieve amazing mobility then someone that is active throughout their day and moves in multiple movement planes.
If you are one of these people that do spend 80-90% of your day either sitting or lying down, no worries, this is why I created Movement Vault.
If this is you it is very important that you incorporate Movement Vault into your daily routine as much as possible. We even created Work Routines, which are routines five minutes or less that are designed to be performed either sitting or standing while working at your desk.
